The redesign of Frankfurt DB Hauptbahnhof aims to renew one of Europe’s most important railway stations, combining the preservation of its historic architecture with modern solutions to enhance functionality, safety, and comfort. The project covers transit areas, corridors, waiting zones, and main entrances, aiming to optimize passenger flows, facilitate orientation, and create brighter, clearer, and more welcoming spaces. Special attention is given to the integration of digital technologies for information management and the improvement of services, ensuring an efficient and smooth travel experience even during peak periods.

Fiandre ceramic surfaces play a central role in the project: large-format porcelain stoneware slabs provide wear resistance, durability, and easy maintenance, essential features for a high-traffic station. Aesthetically, carefully selected textures and colors help create a uniform, elegant, and contemporary image, enhancing the historic architecture without altering its identity. The surfaces guide passengers along functional and easily navigable routes, improving the overall experience and reinforcing the station’s visual identity.

Thanks to this integrated intervention, Frankfurt DB Hauptbahnhof is transformed into a modern, welcoming, and recognizable hub that combines history, innovation, and international mobility standards.
