Nestled among the hills of Chianti, Furla’s new production and creative headquarters in Tavarnelle Val di Pesa represents an exemplary case of architecture integrated into the Tuscan landscape. Designed by GEZA Architettura, the complex combines industrial, administrative, and creative functions into a harmonious system, conceived to enhance the relationship between work, nature, and well-being.
The project, winner of the Architizer A+Awards 2022 in the Mixed Use category, stands out for its ability to reinterpret the language of industrial architecture in a contemporary key. The buildings are articulated in pure volumes, immersed in greenery and connected by pathways that alternate light, shadow, and panoramic views of the Tuscan landscape. Large glazed surfaces open the interiors to the outdoors, promoting visual permeability and a constant dialogue with the surrounding environment.
The choice of materials reflects a search for balance between technology, sustainability, and territorial identity. Inside, Fjord surfaces by Fiandre help create a sober and natural atmosphere, consistent with the philosophy of Furla Progetto Italia, oriented towards environmental respect and human well-being. Neutral tones and textures inspired by northern stones accompany the project with subtlety and material continuity.
